Rockin' the Boat
This past Friday evening, Rustic Overtones played a spectacular set for an enthusiastic crowd aboard the Frederick L. Nolan, Jr., a ship which is part of the Rock and Blues Cruise fleet. However, due to the huge turnout, it looked more like a giant tin of human-sardines.
Despite being packed from wall to wall, floor to floor, floor to ceiling, bow to stern, nobody seemed to care. It was a great show, and a unique event. You can scope out the set list from the show along with a great recap courtesy of Donna and OswegoMatt from the Message Board.
I've also uploaded to videos I shot to YouTube, although there isn't much to see. Since the band was not elevated on a stage of any sort, you couldn't see much beyond the first couple rows. I filmed them from the bow of the ship, through the doorways on each side. They still sound good, though!
